Entry #2
Points Possible: 40
Identify and define the 4 main properties of your wand: What wood? What length? What core? What flexibility? (Once you identify each properties, explain it in your own words. For example: The core of my wand is Phoenix Feather, which is very rare, etc. etc. ...)
If it is true that "the wand chooses the wizard," then based on what all the aspects of your wand mean, why do you think yours chose you?
Best completed during or after Lesson 2.

Entry #3
The second Fundamental Law of Wands states: "The connections made between the wizard and his wand are complex and will grow with experience, the wand learning from the wizard and the wizard learning from the wand." Describe two or three times when you feel this has been true for you; link to past RPs if possible and give a 2- or 3-sentence reflection on each one. If you have no RPs available or can't think of any times, try to think back to your experience in your first Basic Charms class and what it felt like to cast your first spell; looking back on that time, do you feel that your wand may have learned from you and you from it? If so, how?
Best completed after Lesson 2.

Entry #4
Points Possible: 40
Write a brief reflection on your exercise with the Druidic Tree Spirits. What did you feel? Could you connect with this magic stick on a deep level? Practice a few simple spells with it, see if you are successful, and compare that experience to how you feel when casting with your original wand. (Please make all of this in one portfolio post.)

Optional Final Exam (50 points)
Watch "The Tale of the Three Brothers."
“Wands are only as powerful as the wizards who use them. Some wizards just like to boast that theirs are bigger and better than other people's.”
Defend or refute this statement using examples from "The Tale of the Three Brothers." Consider comparing the Elder Wand to the wand stolen from Altheda in "The Fountain of Fair Fortune."
In the end, reflect on this question: "Which has more power, the wand or the wizard?"
